Suryanamaskar

This is an exercise system that has proven over the ages that most of body muscles & joints are activated during this exercise. The other important factor to note is that most of body muscles are stretched to maximum. Similarly most of the joints of the body are ranged through their maximum range of motion.

We are of course talking about muscles & joints used in daily life & not specialised sport requirements.

This exercise when done correctly as prescribed & diligently has got good cardio respiratory benefit as well.

Suryanamaskars are graded according to their level of difficulty. The range caters to people -- in daily life, sportspersons, & martial artists.

There are lots of variations in the way suryanamaskar is executed. If one follows the book mentioned above, one will find good therapeutic benefit & better personal health & wellbeing. For our every day requirements a person should practise grade 4, Level 4, (5 second) suryanamaskar every day. This suryanamaskar takes exactly 115 seconds per suryanamaskar when practised properly. One should practise about 5-10/day to get optimum benefit for his /her requirement.
